AlphaTricks – Adjusting Letters in BX Fonts

Those that create lettering designs for machine embroidery LOVE BX fonts.  They are a complete game changer, but if you have not heard of them before, be sure to check out my previous blog posts.  If you’re tired of merging in one letter at a time and want the ease of  typing like in a word processor, you need to check them out.

However, with a last name of Shaw, I use many capital letter S designs and some of them just drive me batty.  I know its an artistic style, but I like the letter S to be smaller on top than on the bottom.  When I see the bigger part on top, it just looks wrong to me.  So I was always turning the S upside down.  Its not hard to do in Embrilliance Essentials.  Select the letter, click the rotate button twice, boom done.  But I’m all about finding shortcuts!  So I created this video showing how to adjust the letter in the mapped BX font using Embrilliance AlphaTricks.

So if you would rather have your S display automatically with the smaller part on top – this video is going to show you how easy it is to make that happen.

If you don’t have AlphaTricks and you are interested in this time saving program — you can click here for more information!  If you purchase using this link on the Embrilliance website, I do make a small commission and of course that encourages me to create more videos and how to instructions 🙂  Thank you!

Don’t forget that I have made available some of the handouts from the various classes that I teach on my website.  If you’re into lettering designs, you may want to check out the one on creating subway style art!  Just don’t forget that using the lettering tool is NOT digitizing.  You are using designs created by others and they have a terms of use.  For more information, check out this blog post.

Enjoy!
