The scissors I use for trimming are Kai, in particular the following models:
5135 – sturdy sharp blade – these are great for trimming marine vinyl (keyfobs/snap tabs)
5165 – a bit longer sharp blade for smoother cuts – available in very berry, true blue or black
7170 – cuts marine vinyl and cork like a hot knife through warm butter – when you want to spoil yourself 🙂
For jump stitches – 5100C (when trimming jumps in front of the TV) or 5130DC while the item is still in the hoop. The narrow thin blades ensure that your snowmen embroidery designs will NOT have nosehairs!
