Kansas City Day 3 Hands on StitchArtist

Location: Kansas City, MO

When: 9am – 4pm the room opens at 8:30 am so that we can set up your computers.  We will break for lunch and class will be wrapping up between 3:30 – 4pm

Date: June 7, 2025

Room: First Floor Conference Room

Class size is limited to 32 students

Description: Today is all about digitizing.  We will be working with the “foundation tools of digitizing”  as we work through the process of developing your plan and working with different stitch types.  For the majority of the class,  we will be working with StitchArtist level 1. This is a BEGINNER class and I welcome those with zero digitizing experience.   Late afternoon, when we start talking about satin stitches – as in swirls and lettering – these controls are part of StitchArtist L2. We will point on differences in the tools for each level – for example, gradients and curved fills are in StitchArtist L2 – but the main focus of this class is to learn the basics and definitions so that you can explore and continue your learning on your own when you get home.

Software covered on Day 3:  StitchArtist – any level.

Requirements: Laptop (if you plan to take the class as hands-on), power supply, mouse, mousepad, Embrilliance software installed, authorized, and up to date.  See FAQ below for update information!!  If you do not have StitchArtist L2  you may want to also download and install the demonstration version from the Embrilliance website.  The demonstration version is DIFFERENT than Embrilliance Express.  How do you know if you are running the demo?  The program icon will say Embrilliance Demo and when you open the program you are prompted to choose which programs you want to try.  If you are prompted for a serial number, that is Express.

We are not stitching anything, so NO machines are used – this is a software only class.  If you are borrowing or using a brand new to you laptop, please take time to become familiar with the computer and how it works before coming to class. Class files are emailed about 10 days before class along with the lunch order, so please be aware and prepared!
